Clare Henkel

Clare’s prior CSF credits include: Twelfth Night, Noises Off, Romeo and Juliet (2011 Ovation Award nomination), The Little Prince, Measure for Measure, The Fantasticks, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, Macbeth, Woody Guthrie’s American Song, Around the World in 80 Days, All’s Well That Ends Well, The Servant of Two Masters, and A Child’s Christmas in Wales. She has designed locally for the Denver Center Theatre Company, The Arvada Center, 3rd Law Dance/Theatre and Phamaly. Other theatres include the Old Globe Theatre, the San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and Idaho Shakespeare festivals, Arizona Theatre Company, San Jose and San Diego repertory theatres, North Shore Music Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, The Maxim Gorky Theatre, Sacramento Theatre Company, the Indianapolis Symphony’s Pops Consortium (including Carnegie Hall), the Aurora Theatre and the La Jolla Playhouse, among others. She has been nominated for and won several awards for her work, including a 2010 Denver Post Ovation Award, Culture West Award, Henry and Marlowe Awards, a Bay Area Critics’ Circle Award and a Dallas Theatre Guild Award. Clare has taught costume design at the University of California Berkeley and UC Davis. She is a member of United Scenic Artists local 829. (6 seasons)
