Cynthia Croot

Cynthia Croot, (MFA, Columbia University) is a NY theatre artist/activist known for her innovative international collaborations. Directing credits include Suzan-Lori Parks' Venus (Windybrow, South Africa), Guare's The House of Blue Leaves (Perseverance, Juneau), The Winter's Tale (CSF), as well as productions in NYC at PS122, Town Hall, Symphony Space, and the Guggenheim Museum. A recipient of two Shubert Fellowships and a frequent guest artist at home and abroad, Croot has enjoyed residencies at UCross and New Pacific Studios. A Steering Committee member of Theaters Against War, Croot represented U.S. artists in a cultural exchange between Columbia University's Center for International Conflict Resolution and Damascus University.
