Shakespeare in the Schools

Living Shakespeare Macbeth Tour: Spring 2009

A combination of live performance and hands-on workshops is an excellent way to introduce your students to the major ideas behind Shakespeare's language, and to get them excited about the Bard. In the spring of 2009, CSF Education will tour a Shakespeare production to local schools. This 45-minute Macbeth is performed at your school by three CSF actors, and condenses Shakespeare's original to a fast-paced, action-packed, relevant retelling of the power-hungry Scottish king. Appropriate for ages 5-18. To find out more, click here.

A Child’s Christmas in Wales for Schools

Back by popular demand, CSF is offering a limited number of performances for school field trips to see our 2008 holiday show, A Child’s Christmas in Wales, adapted from the Dylan Thomas short story.  These weekday performances in December are a fantastic way to introduce students to professional theater at the reduced price of $10/student (one free chaperone ticket for every 15 students). The show runs 75 minutes with an intermission, and includes a talkback with the actors. CSF provides a free study guide to prepare students for the background and themes of the play. The CSF holiday show is a great idea for a school field trip before winter break. Contact Amanda Holden at (303) 492-1537 to reserve tickets for your school.
