Director, Measure for Measure

Scott Williams lives in England, where he is the founding Artistic Director of The Impulse Company. He was born in California, and after training with American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, he attained his BA and MA degrees at San Francisco State University. He was Artistic Director of Hillbarn Theatre in the Bay Area before moving to Europe in 1996, and now directs and teaches throughout the world. Recent projects include Five O’Clock Angel (a new play about and by Tennessee Williams) in London, Ancient History in Hong Kong, several world premiere productions of plays by Stuart Spencer in New York, a new musical Inkle ‘n’ Yarico, and work with the Royal Court Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
