A Chat with Will Shakespeare
(AKA Actor Chuck Wilcox)

Chuck Wilcox, who plays Will Shakespeare on The Green, combines a scholar’s knowledge of the plays and Shakespeare’s times with the ability to personify the Bard himself.

Mr. Wilcox’s first season at CSF was in 1971 playing the role of Jaques in As You Like It. At that time, he was pursuing his B.A. in speech at the University of Wyoming. More recently at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, he has played Gloucester in the 1998 production of Richard II and Alonzo in the 2000 production of The Tempest. Mr. Wilcox, who holds an M.A. in theatre from the University of Colorado, teaches drama at St. Mary’s Academy in Denver.

He also provides "Words with Will" for CSF Education Outreach's Will Power Festival. In December 2000, he received the University Medal for his work with CSF, CU, and the community at large.
