Prologue
Before every performance, CSF offers a free Prologue, given by Producing Artistic Director Philip Sneed (or other CSF staff member). Starting approximately forty-minutes before curtain time, the Prologue is an informal talk about the play that patrons will be seeing, and may include information on the playwright, historical and contextual background, an introduction to the characters of the play and the basic conflict, etc. We promise not to give away any surprises—we won't reveal the whole story—but we will provide important bits of information designed to increase the attendee's enjoyment and understanding of the play. Come along for all or part of the Prologue—we don't mind if patrons join us late, or leave early; in either case, we promise an entertaining and enlightening talk. Prologues will be held in the respective theatres, unless otherwise posted on the night of performance.
